Classic late Victorian solitaire ring set with a superb half carat antique cushion cut diamond. The stone displays excellent fire and flash, the open culet and chunky pavilion facets displaying strong blues, oranges, and greens as they sparkle in the light. It rests in a simple 18k gold six claw setting, dating from the last decade of the 19th century.
